Collen found this picture in the back of a Photo Album, that belonged to mother. Amos Lewis was written on the back of the picture. We don't know who anyone is, but I think they are the second generation. We know that Benjamin Oliver Lewis had 12 children 6 boys and 6 girls. The youngest born in 06/02/1892 the oldest born 12/25/1869.. Amos was the 7th of 12 children.
If anyone knows any of the people in the picture please let me know. Maybe Aunt Bernice, Aunt Evelyn or Aunt Margie may know.?

Amos Marvin Lewis 1882-1945 Where abouts unknown before coming to Tampa, Florida. In 1918 he worked for the Atlantic Coast Line as a "Collector" in Tampa, Florida. Later (don't know how long) he worked as a street car conductor in Tampa. He built four homes on Tampa Street- one in which he and Claudie lived untill after the birth of thier first child- then built another house on Osborne Ave., where they lived till death in 1945. Claudie maintained the house he death in 1954. His real estate "investments", which he sold a short time before is death (the four houses on Tampa Street) is what sustained Claudie untill her death. I think it was in the "thirties" that Amos worked for Towns Laundry and then became what was known as an indepedent truck driver (laundry driver). He gave this up to go work in the Tampa Ship Yard in 1942 after Pearl Harbor attack. He worked the second shift 3:00 Pm to till midnight. This is where he was working at the time of his death. Just before it was time to quite, he became ill and knocked off a little early and went and setted himself on the bus that was to take him home a few minutes later.
